Just before 11pm Friday night Bridgeport Police Officers on routine patrol discovered a fire at 803 Nobel Avenue. They immediately radioed for the fire department and proceeded to rush in and rescue a number of tenants inside the building. Witness Michael Martinez told us it was crazy how the fire just over the police officers heads as they ran in. One officer did receive smoke inhalation and was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for treatment. He is expected to be ok. There were no other reports of any other injuries.
