Hit and run update

The two victims  remain in critical condition.   The victims are a 60-year-old woman and her 6-year-old niece.  Police have not released their names.  They were crossing Washington Ave at Highland Street when they were struck. Two other young children made it across the street safely and were not injured. The aunt remains at Bridgeport Hospital.  The 6-year-old girl was transferred today to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she also remains in critical condition. A light color large size SUV which fled north on Washington toward Catherine is responsible for the accident. Police pursuit

11:32pm--#Stratford CT--#Milford--Stratford Police are in pursuit of a car on Route 1 near Naugatuck Avenue now left on Sycamore, whoops now back on Route 1.  Now near Milford Hospital, speeds at 45mph.  The pursuit doubled back on New Haven Avenue where spike strips were used.  The pursuit came to an end at New Haven Ave. and Elm Street in Milford.   One police car was also hit the spike strip.  A gun was found in the car.  It sounded like five were in custody when this all wrapped up.
