Fairfield News: Fire At Holy Family School

2020-12-09@4:40pm--#Fairfield CT-- Firefighters were called to Holy Family School located at 140 Edison Road. The school is no longer in use as a school but is used mainly for offices. Firefighters isolated the smoke on the second floor and have secured the electricity that powers a bathroom fan and an electrical ballast that may have caused the smoke condition. Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola said they were concerned because the pastor of the church ran in and got some smoke inhalation but said he will be fine, the pastor was more upset about his school Gomola said. The consent judgment resolves allegations that Nationstar, which does business as “Mr. Cooper,” violated consumer protection laws during its servicing of mortgage loans. The settlement provides restitution for a variety of harms that were identified in the investigation. Bridgeport News: 10 Gas Cans Removed From Car After Man Makes Terror Threats

2020-12-08@11:49pm-- #Bridgeport News: Police arrested a man for making terror threats on Main Street between Broad and Lafayette Boulevard, across from the Bijou and the parking garage. The bomb squad from Stamford as well as resources from the state police were called to the scene. A bomb sniffing dog checked the car and bomb technicians moved in. After a through search police opened the car and removed wires and tarps. They then removed at least 10 gasoline containers and one bottle labeled Purex.
