Bridgeport News: Police Need Your Help

The City of Bridgeport Police is attempting to identify the suspect in the assault of a 74 year old man who was attempting to return bottles at the Stop and Shop located at 4531 Main St on 09/02/20.  The victim was only able to describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 50 years old wearing a black jacket, knit hat with writing on the side of his pants legs.  The attached picture snippets (first 4) were of the initial assault that occurred in the bottle return area.  The 2nd two snippets were taking inside of Stop and Shop when it appears the suspect was trying to cash out his bottle returns receipts.  The victim was treated at the hospital with…

Bridgeport News: Homicide #19

Police UPDATE: On October 2, 2020 at 2003 hours, shots were fired inside 375 Pequonnock Street. This is the location of Quick Stop Barber Shop. A gunman entered the barbershop and fired at workers and patrons inside. A 39-year-old male employee was shot once in the arm and neck and fled from the establishment. Responding officers found this victim down the street and applied a tourniquet to his wound to stop severe bleeding. This victim was transported by medics to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he was treated for a serious injury to his arm. This victim is expected to survive. Fairfield News: Bank Robbery

Police UPDATE: At 1:58pm Fairfield Police received a call from Peoples Bank located at 1160 Kings Highway Cutoff of aBank Robbery. The Peoples Bank Branch is located within the Stop & Shop grocery store at that location.The suspect had fled prior to police arrival.Officers were dispatched and upon arrival bank employees reported just minutes’ prior, a lone whitemale (possibly Asian), described as approximately 5’7” wearing a blue mask and red hat walked up tothe teller window and handed over an envelope. On the envelope was a hand written note foremployees to cooperate, confirming it was a robbery. No weapon was shown and there was no evidenceof a weapon present.
