Norwalk News: Commercial Burglary

Norwalk Detectives are investigating a commercial burglary at Rowayton Pizza on Rowayton Avenue that occurred during the overnight hours on June 10, 2017. The suspect broke out the front window with rocks and then entered the business. Once inside the suspect took the cash register before fleeing in a small sedan, possibly a Toyota. The suspect appears to be a Caucasian male. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Bell at 203-854-3183 or jbell@norwalkct.org. Bridgeport News: Child And Dog Left In Hot Car

5:00pm--#Bridgeport CT-- How about some likes for the Good Samaritan who  called police to report that a child AND a dog were allegedly left in a car with the windows up at 4543 Main Street.  The Good Samaritan remained on the phone and directed police as the driver of the car returned to the car and was attempting to leave.  Police did apprehend the driver and were investigating.  EMS was called to evaluate the child.  There was no word on any arrests at this time.

Norwalk News: Norwalk Police K-9 Receives Donation

#Norwalk CT--Today Dr. Janice Duffy, Dr. Charlie Duffy and Sue Gabriele came to the Norwalk Police Department to present a check from the Norwalk Veterinary Hospital Fundraiser. The event, which was held in April 2017, raised money for the Norwalk Police K9 Unit and the Fairfield Police K9 Unit. The event raised $10,372.17 for the NPD K9 Unit.  The same group presented a check  to the Fairfield K-9 unit last week for the same amount.

Bridgeport News: Store Owner Assaulted

Saturday around 7pm two men came into Layla's Market at 1437 Fairfield Ave to allegedly steal items.  The men  punched and knocked down the store owner, Sha Didar leaving him unconscious.  Sha required ten stitches to close his chin and mouth and he lost enough blood for require a blood transfusion.  Police are asking for you help in identifying those responsible.  If you have information please call the Bridgeport Police tip line at 203-576-TIPS (8477) all info will remain confidential.
