10:47am--#Fairfield Connecticut-- Fairfield Firefighters rescued a dog after falling through the ice on a pond at Robert Lane. Assistant Chief George Gomola said the dog owner was smart in not trying to rescue the dog himself, possibly becoming a victim himself. Gomola said the ice is deceiving, appearing safe when it is not.
