Thanks First Responders!

My 87 mother in law had a fall today.  Thank you Life Alert and the Fairfield Emergency Dispatch  for getting the care to her right away.  Special thanks to AMR that kept her calm and took VERY good compassionate care of her.  Thanks to the Fairfield Fire Department for the same great care and for checking all the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors while they were there.  I had little to no interaction with the police officer that was there but there are many times I hear on the radios that the police officer dispatched is the first to provide care, often life saving. Bridgeport News: Homeless Man’s Fire Causes Smoke Condition At Stop & Shop

6:11pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A homeless man's source of heat at Spruce and Wordin Street caused a smoke/burning smell inside Stop and Shop at 2145 Fairfield Avenue.  An overtime police officer working at the store called in a smell of electrical burning.  It was discovered that the homeless living in the park behind the store was burning plastic and other items in a barrel, the smoke got into the stores ventilation system.

Cameras Installed At PT Barnum Complex

#Bridgeport Connecticut--The City of Bridgeport began installation of security cameras at PT Barnum complex on Tuesday.  The city plans on installing high definition cameras in all housing projects dubbed "Operation Virtual Shield".  Chief of Police A.J. Perez said the cameras will be able to rotate and zoom enough to read license plates off of cars.  The cameras will be monitored and recorded at the police command center.
