Malloy announced a series of historic preservation initiatives that will strengthen the state’s commitment to prepare and respond to disasters and protect historic sites along Connecticut’s shoreline. #BRIDGEPORT, CT - November 4, 2015 The WorkPlace has been awarded a $20,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by the late actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman. In celebration of its 10th anniversary, Newman’s Own Foundation made the award to The WorkPlace. The Foundation awarded a total of $1.5 million in grants to 29 organizations that provide services to United States military men, women, veterans, and their families. The WorkPlace is working with Homes for the Brave and Columbus House to provide The Daring Way™ workshop to homeless veterans.
