Norwalk Investigates A Fatal Accident

The Norwalk Department of Police Service is investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in the area of 197 Newtown Avenue at 11:30 pm on April 28, 2016. The preliminary investigation indicates a 79 year-old male resident of Norwalk was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a motor vehicle. The operator of the vehicle immediately stopped and called police. The name of the male is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.
