#Fairfield Connecticut--My favorite photo of the day was on Alden Street in Fairfield today. Amid the scare and sadness of a kitchen fire, out comes this kid on his trike like a boss. I posted this on my personal page and someone comments "Fairfield Deploys It's New Mobile Command". Even though there was sadness at the scene, you have to look for something positive!

#Fairfield Connecticut-- As we were the first to alert you to, a sexual assault took place at Fairfield University around 11pm Monday night. Police say the victim was lured from a path to a wooded area when she was attacked. The university issued a warning students to "exercise caution and institute the buddy system when walking at night". The state police K-9 was called to the scene but Deputy Chief Chris Lyddy told me the dog did not find the suspect who was only described as a male around 40 years old. University counselors have been with the victim.
UPDATE: Sources say the dishwasher caught fire... 5:43pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--Firefighters were met with heavy smoke from the front door when they arrived at 182 Alden Street and found a fire in the kitchen Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola told me. The power was secured at the breaker box by firefighters and they check to see if the fire had extended to the second floor or basement.
