#Bridgeport, Conn. (July 14, 2015 Press Release) -- Detectives arrested a city man today in connection with a shooting Friday on Reservoir Avenue. Investigators charged Malcolm Dukes, 21, of Bridgeport, with criminal attempt at murder, first-degree robbery and gun-related charges. Investigators determined that Dukes, the victim and one of the victim's friends arranged to meet for a drug transaction. The victim, a 23-year-old Monroe man, was shot in the shoulder when Dukes attempted to rob him. The shooting happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the area of Reservoir Avenue and Alba Avenue. Firefighters did a search and found no one inside the home. Firefighters had it quickly contained but hots spots in the insulation remained until the removed it from the home.
