More “Enhanced” Gun Laws

#HARTFORD, CT– Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman released the following statements following a vote in the Connecticut House of Representatives this evening approving the Governor’s legislation that protects victims of domestic violence.  The bill prohibits the possession of firearms for anyone who becomes subject to a temporary restraining order. Bridgeport News: Teens On Robbery Spree In The Hollow

9:44pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Police are looking for 3 teens around the age of 15 in the Hollow section of town. A man was robbed of his cell phone at Pequonnick and Harral Avenue. A short time an elderly man was assaulted and robbed on Grand Street. They are described as 2 black males an 1 Hispanic male dressed mostly in black. Senator Gomes Proposes “Show Me Your Papers” Legislation

#Bridgeport Connecticut--Senator Ed Gomes age 79, proposed House Bill 5408 which “An Act Concerning the Presentation of a Carry Permit” which would clarify the law regarding open carry of firearms. Specifically, it would require anyone open carrying a firearm to present their permit to law enforcement when asked". Fairfield News: Elementary Student Assaults 4 Teachers

Press release 4/27/2016--- On 4/27/2016, at approximately 1:00 PM, the administration of Dwight Elementary School requested assistance with a student who was experiencing behavioral issues. The student was reportedly throwing chairs and tables in a classroom. Upon the arrival of School Safety Officers, 4 teachers reportedly received minor injuries during the course of managing the behavior. One teacher received a bruise to the leg and was transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital. One teacher was transported to a private physician by a friend prior to police arrival. Bridgeport News: Business Robbed

10:00pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--Police are investigating a robbery of employees at 522 Pequonnock Street, which Google says it is the Azteca Market. A young black male wearing a gray hoodie with a black hood and black jeans threatened the employees implying he had a gun. Police radio reports say he took their wallets.
