#Fairfield CT–#Bridgeport CT– Earlier this afternoon I reported on a stolen Greenscape landscaping truck take on Park Avenue with the keys. While on my way to see Larry at Interstate Batteries I turned down Dewey Street and located the truck. I called 911 who transferred me to Bridgeport Police. I gave them the plate number and told them the truck was unoccupied and that I would stay with it until police arrived. About 5 minutes later I see a man watching me from across the street so I took a ride down the block. It turned out to be the owner of the truck. Fairfield Police arrived and confirmed it was in fact the stolen truck. I asked the owner why he left the keys in the truck and he said it was on the seat of the truck. It was discovered the passenger’s side front tire was flat and that is why they abandoned the truck. Police and the owner were checking to see if anything was missing when I left the scene.
