10:38pm--#Bridgeport CT--Greater Bridgeport Transportation Authority (GBTA) bus #4202 caught fire at Huntington Road and Noble Avenue.  Firefighters found the rear brakes were fully ablaze upon their arrival but quickly put it out.  Thanks Garth! Knife Wielding Suspect On Bus Shot By Trooper Dies

UPDATE with press conference video:  #Norwalk CT--A man who got into a "physical altercation" on a Dahlia coach bus with passengers stabbing two has died after being shot by a Connecticut State Trooper on  I-95 northbound  between exits 14 and 15.  The bus was on the way to the casinos according to Lt. Paul Vance of Connecticut State Police.   Vance said the bus driver got the attention of state police at a construction zone.  At 10pm as the story was still breaking we posted this photo of the bus being pulled over by the state trooper before the Connecticut Department of Transportation cameras were turned off to the public and press.  Two people on the bus were stabbed by the…

I-95 Shut Down- 2 on Bus Stabbed 1 SHOT I-95

10:00pm--#cttraffic--#Norwalk CT-- UPDATE TWO STABBED ON THE BUS ONE SHOT.  4 AMBULANCES DISPATCHED.  State Police have I-95 northbound at exit 15 shutdown when they received a 911 of a passenger on a bus with a knife.  Police have the bus pulled over.  One woman has been stabbed according to State Police radio transmissions.  Traffic camera has been shut down. 10:20pm--UPDATE: All injured have been transported to Norwalk Hospital. Current shift of State Troopers held over until further notice.  UPDATE: State Police confirm state trooper shot man with knife.  UPDATE: It is a Dahlia coach bus.  State trooper's gun has been secured according to radio reports.  We are hearing reports the state trooper was also stabbed but have not confirmed this at this…

The City of Bridgeport is advising drivers and residents of street closures and parking restrictions before and during a visit by President Barack Obama to the Park City. A mandatory on-street parking ban will be in effect on Capitol Avenue, between Lindley Street and Park Avenue; on Lincoln Boulevard and on Taft Avenue betweenMadison Avenue and Park Avenue on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. Started at 3 p.m., any vehicle parked on these streets will be towed. The parking ban lasts until 10 p.m. Residents are advised to find available parking on side streets. These streets also will be closed to vehicular traffic. Motorists also are advised to avoid Main Street and Madison Avenue if possible. 4:55pm--#UBridgeport--#Bridgeport CT--An elderly man appeared disoriented and had to be helped out of the car by firefighters after crashing down a stairwell at a University of Bridgeport building between Lafayette Street and Hazel Street.  Witnesses said the man hit a parked car on Lafayette Street and then drove through the back lot before almost completely plunging down a stairwell.
