#Bridgeport Police Department press release: Police are investigating a fatal shooting Sunday. Police responded to the area of 36 Staples Street at approximately 2 p.m. Officers located a gunshot victim, who later later died. Detectives are at the scene interviewing witnesses. Bridgeport News: Detectives Investigate Shooting
Bridgeport Police Report: - Detectives released the identity of a man fatally shot Saturday evening. Police responded to 500 Park Aveon the report of a shooting. Officers located two victims. According to witnesses, one victim, Derrick Hill, 33, of Bridgeport, was eating at Rootsman Kitchen and, as he left the restaurant, was confronted by a gunman. Hill fled back into the restaurant. The gunman fired multiple shots, striking Hill and an employee of the restaurant. Hill was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, Dennis Hines, 50, was wounded in the buttocks and taken to Saint Vincent's Medical Center. 4:21pm--#Bridgeport CT--Crashes continue to dominate the breaking news this afternoon, this time with crash between a car and motorcycle at intersection of Norman and Laurel Avenue. The biker was pretty banged up and is being attended to by EMS, he was not wearing helmet. The impact cracked the bikes crankcase and firefighters were able contain the spill which was right in front of a storm drain.
