Fairfield News: Two In Custody For Phony ATM Cards

1:17am--#Fairfield CT--Security for People's Bank called Fairfield Police that fraudulent ATM cards are being used at the People's Bank at 1237 Stratfield Road.  The cards were used in Darien earlier today by two white males in black hoodies.  Police arrived and found two men in the ATM lobby.  The manager was called to the scene and the two men were transported to police headquarters.  It is not known at this time if any arrests were made. 6:44am--An attempted traffic stop at Post Road West and Kings Highway turned into a pursuit into Norwalk on Strawberry Hill where 3 suspects fled on foot.  There were 4 in the car.  One remained in the car and police quickly apprehended him.  Police have 3 in custody and K-9 is now tracking the 4th. 3:55pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were called to 30 Overland Avenue for a report of smoke in a basement.  When they arrived they found a small fire outside in the back of the building.  It burned some shingles, firefighters extinguished it. Fairfield News: Cement Truck Hits Overpass

11:50pm--#Fairfield CT-- A cement truck operator attempted to cross at the North Benson Road overpass and realized he wasn't going to make it.  We are told he called his office and was told his truck was short enough to make it under the Mill Plain Road underpass....he didn't.  Firefighters are concerned with the integrity of the bridge and has asked Metro North to the scene to inspect it.  There are big traffic delays in the area due to construction and this is not helping matters.  Heavy duty tow trucks just arrived at 12:29pm.   Un operador de camión de cemento intentó cruzar en el paso elevado del Norte Benson Road y se dio cuenta que no iba a hacerlo.
