Bridgeport Detectives Arrest Murder Suspect
#Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 8, 2014 – Detectives charged a suspect in connection with a 2011 shooting that killed a 20-year-old man. Detective Jason Ferri secured an arrest warrant charging Tavaris Daniels, 23, with murder, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal discharge of a firearm. He had been jailed on unrelated charges and was arraigned on Friday. Bond was set at $1 million. Ferri and Detective Vincent Lariccia investigated the case. A witness identified Daniels as the gunman who shot and killed Dayquan Henry, 20, on Dec. 21, 2011, at 594 Newfield Ave. just after midnight.
