11:49pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters were quick to the scene at 279 Jackson Avenue to put out a fire in a second floor bedroom. All occupants of the house quickly evacuated the house. It is not know the reason for the fire at this time, firefighters are investigating.
10:17pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters on the way to the 1500 block of Stillson Road for a bonfire that got out of control and now is a brush fire.
10:07pm--#Shelton CT--Firefighters on the way to 292 Howe Avenue for smoke inside the apartment complex.
6:40pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters on the scene at 1461 Cross Highway for a fire in a fireplace, possible chimney fire that has extended to the roof.
On 3/22/2014 Patrol Officers Hanson and Bensey responded to 525 Palisades Ave apt#506 on a report of an unresponsive party in the apartment, possibly barricaded inside. Upon arrival they were met by the occupant’s sister who stated she located her brother Alejanro Velez inside the apartment, unresponsive, the door was barricaded by furniture and had to be forced open. Upon checking the apartment she located an unidentified a female lying on the bathroom floor, also unresponsive, apparently suffering from multiple stab wounds. The medics were summoned to the scene and the female was pronounced dead by AMR personnel, Velez was subsequently transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. Based on information obtained by investigators, and evidence located at the scene, Alejandro Velez is being charged with Murder by investigating Detectives Lariccia/Ferri/Curet, and…
3:03am--#Trumbull CT--Police are reporting a large power outage in Trumbull from Tashua, Spring Hill to Madison Avenue is without power. UI has been notified.
1:40am--#Bridgeport CT-- Tonight's car fire is at Spring and Nobel Avenue. Firefighters on the way. Police on routing patrol make the discovery.
1:40am--#Trumbull CT-- Numerous calls to police to step up their response to a disturbance at Ristorante at 6540 Main Street. Four state troopers on the way, aid from Bridgeport no longer needed. 1:46am--- UPDATE: One male and one female have face lacerations and may need medical attention.
1:34am--#Bridgeport CT-- A white pickup truck drove through a fence at 257 Douglas Street (off Chopsey Hill) and fled towards Reservoir Avenue. Police have caught the suspect.
