Bridgeport News: Gun goes off while cleaning

6:28pm–#Bridgeport CT–A man cleaning his gun in the 500 block of Gilman Street had it accidentally discharge into the neighboring apartment/condo.  He went to investigate but no one answered the door.   Police were dispatched to check on the well being of the neighbor.  Since its been over 15 minutes since police arrived on scene I’ll take this as a good sign…….

Bridgeport News: Break in scares 15 year old

6:00pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police have one in custody on Truman Street after an attempted break in.   A fifteen year old girl heard someone trying to break in to her home, ran down and locked herself in the basement.  She had her cellphone and maintained communication throughout the incident.    Police and parents are on scene.

Bridgeport News: Unusual purse snatching

3:28pm–#Bridgeport CT–A woman going door to door selling alternative electricity plans says she knocked on a door and a woman answered the door, took her purse and closed the door.  No mention where it took place but radio reports say the officer is to go to an apartment in the 1600 block of Fairfield Avenue to see the complainant.

Explosion in New York Ctiy

1:09pm–#New York City–Police and firefighters are investigating an explosion that took place on Lexington Avenue near 22nd Street.  There are no reported injuries.  Picture from Foxnews in New York.

I know this isn’t exactly local but we do have a lot of viewers that work in the city.  We are also the main source of news for a lot of people too.

Fairfield News: Credit Union Robbed

12:02pm–#Fairfield CT–The Fairfield County Credit Union at 1515 Black Rock Turnpike was just robbed by 3 black males in a blue Buick with a plate number of 136 XYP.  A tracker was placed in the money given.  A short time later police received information that the dye pack went off under an underpass on I-95 in Stamford.  Police are investigating.

UPDATE: The car is confirmed stolen out of Bridgeport.  Two of the suspects spoke with Jamaican accents.  A weapon was displayed during the robbery.
