#Bridgeport, CT – Dec. 30, 2013 – Two Bridgeport men faces burglary-related charges after police responded to a reported burglary in progress at an East Main Street business. Officers Michael Davila, Carlos Pabon, Ean Smith and other officers responded to the Nob Hill Deli & Grocery, on East Main Street, on an anonymous report of a break in this morning at 4:32 a.m. Police set up a perimeter and during a search of the building found burglary tools strewn about the basement. They also found a hole cut in the floor of the first-floor business, which was used to gain access. In the business, police found the cash register drawer on the floor and items thrown about. Gunshots Ring in New Year; Felon Goes to Jail

Here is the police press release on the shots fired arrests we reported as it was happening New Years Eve/Day: #Bridgeport, CT – Jan. 2, 2014 – Police arrested a convicted felon after hearing a large volley of gunfire four minutes into the New Year. Officer David Uliano was assigned to the New Years shots fired detail when, at 12:04 a.m., he heard a series of gunshots and saw muzzle flashes from the back yard of a Maple Street home. The shots were still being fired when Uliano and Officer Luis Moura, with their own weapons drawn, ordered the men to drop the weapons.
