Bridgeport News: Kidnapping at gunpoint

10:33pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a kidnapping that occurred outside the Food Bazaar at 500 Sylvan Avenue.  Initial reports say a man kidnapped his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint and fled onto the highway in a red 4 door Nissan Altima with New York Plates.  Police know who the  suspect and victim are and are investigating.  10:55pm--UPDATE--Police have the car stopped on I-95 near exit 5.  The have the suspect detained and the woman is ok!

Bridgeport News: Several injured in bus crash

8:11pm--#Bridgeport CT--Several people were injured when an SUV and a bus collided at the intersection of Park and Suburban Avenue.  It appears that the SUV was coming out from Suburban Avenue and pulled out in front of the bus and the SUV was T-boned by the bus.  A count from radio reports are that three people were transported to Saint Vincent's Hospital and seven refused medical treatment.  This is preliminary information and should not be considered accurate.  The intersection in both directions has been closed.
