Homicide in PT Barnum Housing UPDATE

12:49pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a fatal shooting Sunday in the P.T. Barnum housing complex. Police responded to the complex at 12:49 p.m. on a report of shots fired and a possible victim on the ground near Building 11. Officers found Marquis Jacobs, 36, of Bridgeport, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Saint Vincent's Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Detectives are pursuing leads. Mr. Jacobs was the sixth homicide of 2013. The Bridgeport Police Department Detective Division has commenced a homicide investigation and is in the process of determining a motive for the shooting. Girl shot in the face–UPDATE

9:24pm--#Bridgeport CT--A 17 year old girl was at Hawley Avenue and Ezra Street getting ready to go to a Sweet Sixteen party when an older model four door blue sedan drove by firing shots and hitting her in the face.  She was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital a couple of blocks away in a private vehicle.  Sources tell me she is in guarded condition but it is not know if the injuries are life threatening.
