12:36pm--#Ansonia CT--Firefighters dispatched to Benz Street Warsaw Park area where a helium with a candle attached balloon landed into a wooded area. No flame is visible.

12:00am--#Bridgeport CT--Police chased a number of teens after hearing shots fired in the William/Arctic Street area. They located the teens to house at William and Arctic Street where they locked themselves in. Police had found shotgun shells as well as 223 and 9mm casings at the scene making the call dangerous to police. A short time later the police were let into the building. A booking van was dispatched to the scene due to the number of teens to be processed. Firearms have been recovered.
12:09am--#Fairfield CT--Police at Woodridge Avenue for a man who choked his wife. One person is locked in a room right now.
12:04am--Multiple shots fired on William/Maple/Arctic Street confirmed by police.
11:58pm--#Derby CT--Firefighters dispatched to 166 Shagbark Drive for a water emergency, no details given.
11:42pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters are at a structure fire of an abanded building at Stratford and Newfield Aveneu.
Since there will more than likely fireworks around midnight by private citizens around midnightoften confused for shots fired we will not be reporting these calls unless it is verified by police. Bridgeport Police Chief Gaudette warns : DO NOT ring in the 2014 by firing your gun into the air. If you do, you could ring in the New Year in jail.
10:21pm--#Bridgeport CT--A man was beaten after a robbery at Iranistan and Hanover Street. Three male Hipspanic males all dressed in black were seen fleeing on foot down Iranistan Avenue towards Marina Village.
10:18pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police and EMS were called to Barnum Avenue for a heavy set woman in dark shirt and her belly hanging out staggering with a toddler towards Mill Hill.
9:21pm--#Bridgeport CT--A sleeping homeowner awoke to a Hispanic male with a flashlight who entered their home through the back door on Ash Street.. The suspect spotted the homeowner and ran out the front door unknown direction of travel. The suspect is 5"5" olive skin wearing a shirt that said New York on the front of it.
