11:00pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police looking for a fifteen year on a BMX bike for a purse snatching on State Street Extension. Taken was a purse with $400 and a cellphone in it.
Fire rips through Stratford Home
6:01pm--#Stratford CT--A house at 25 Emerald Place was significantly damage by fire Sunday evening. The home is a side road behind the Treeland area and 911 received numerous calls about the fire. At first it was thought to be in Bridgeport and the Bridgeport Fire Department sent vehicles to Emerald Street and Emerald Place in the city but found nothing at either location. Quickly calls did come in for Stratford. Firefighters had the bulk of the fire knocked down within fifteen minutes and chased hot spots At 7:05pm firefighters completed the overhaul and the investigation for the cause begins. Bridgeport arrests shooter
Police late Friday arrested a 20-year-old man for a Dec. 17 shooting in which a store owner was wounded in an apparent attempted robbery. Detective Mike Fiumidinisi obtained an arrest warrant for Davon Eldemire, of 55 Laurel Ave., for a shooting that occurred at the S&K Grocery at 856 Fairfield Ave. Fiumidinisi was assisted in the investigation by Detectives Artur Calvao and Kenneth McKenna. The owner of the store was shot in the leg after struggling with a masked man during an attempted robbery. Eldemire was arrested Friday night at his home by members of the Emergency Services Unit, Detective Division, Gang Task Force and Patrol.
