Bridgeport’s Newest Block Watch Hits the Street

(Bridgeport, CT – Sept 13, 2013) – The city’s newest Block Watch will meet for the first time tonight at 28 Deforest Ave. at 5:30 p.m. and residents will then conduct a walking citizen patrol. Suspect Arrested in Connection with Police Pursuit

(Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 12, 2013) – A city man was arrested this morning on charges stemming from a car break-in and police pursuit earlier this month. Sgt. John Gale and Officer Chris Smith arrested Peter Marino, 40, at 3004 Madison Ave. at 12:30 a.m. Marino was out on bail in connection with a similar incident in Trumbull. The Bridgeport case stems from a Sept. 1 incident. Officer Brian Pisanelli was on patrol at about 1:30 a.m.when he heard a car alarm sounding behind 3850 Main St. As Pisanelli investigated, Marino sped off in a Toyota Corolla and led police on a chase onto Route 8/25 and onto Interstate 95 through Stratford and into Milford.   On several occasions, Marino swerved toward police cars in an effort…
