2 shot in leg in seperate incidents

(Bridgeport, CT – June 25, 2013) – Two men were shot in the leg Tuesday night. Officer Ferdinand Ferrao responded to the area of Granfield and Wessels avenues at about 11:45 p.m. and located the victim, Lynwood Whitley, 18, of Bridgeport.  He was shot in the upper left thigh. The victim told Detective Kenneth McKenna that a male came up to him and pointed a gun at him.  He states he struggled for the gun and was shot.  He was either unable to or unwilling to provide any further information. Hit Pedestrian Passes

#Bridgeport CT--Thomas M. Jacob, 51, of Bridgeport who wasstruck near the corner of State Street near Park Avenue has died of his injures. At this time, no charges have been filed against the operator of the vehicle that struck Jacob. The driver, identified as Milton Dickens, 50, of Bridgeport, immediately pulled over and was cooperative with investigators. Police Arrested Suspect in June Homicide

(Bridgeport, CT – June 26, 2013) – A man suspected in a June 9 homicide in the P.T. Barnum housing complex was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with murder. Bridgeport Sgt. Jason Amato, who is assigned to the State Police Gang Unit, received information that Dean Burdell, 33, was observed walking into an apartment in Building 10 in the housing complex. Burdell was being sought on various narcotics charges and also wanted for questioning in a recent killing of Marquis Jacobs, 36, of Bridgeport. He was found suffering from a gunshot wound near Building 11 in the complex earlier this month. Upon notifying Sgt.
