We Aren’t Kicking Grandma Out

We aren't trying to evict grandma!

The local man who is being criticized for trying to evict his 98-year-old mother from her house says it’s his brother — not his mother — that he wants evicted.
Peter Kantorowski is getting threatening calls and death threats after news stories said he tried to evict his 98-year-old mother from her Fairfield home of almost 60 years on her birthday.
But his son, Kevin Kantorowski, says his father was looking out for his mother’s welfare when he filed eviction papers and that she can stay in her Fairfield house, move in with him or go to a nursing home.
It’s his brother who his father wants to evict because he is not taking proper care of his mother, Kevin Kantorowski said.
“My grandmother can stay in the house as long as someone is there to take care of her,” he said.
He said his father’s side of the story has not been told and that he wants to set the record straight because the media got it wrong.
