Bridgeport News: Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Police UPDATE: Mynor R. Garcia-Pelaez - a 38-year-old Bridgeport man was killed. He was driving on I-95 Northbound on the Exit 27A ramp which leads to Route 8 northbound. As he entered the ramp, he struck the concrete barrier on the left side in a head on manner. This caused him to be ejected from the vehicle and fall from the overpass onto Frontage Road, approximately 30 feet below the ramp.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. Bridgeport News: House Fire

2020-04-02@11:39pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters received a call for a house fire in the 100 block of Harborview Avenue, near Harborview Market.  The fire was in the back of the home.  Radio reports said the homeowner ran back into the home to retrieve the pets.  There were no reported injuries.  The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire.

Bridgeport News: Third Person Today Shot Is Homicide #5

Police UPDATE: On April 2, 2020 at 2258 hours, police received a Shotspotter activation in the area of 468 Trumbull Avenue reporting multiple gunshots fired in the area. Officers responded to the scene and located a crime scene. A 32-year-old male victim was transported by private vehicle to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and groin. Detectives processed crime scenes at the hospital and on Trumbull Avenue, and are working to establish a motive and leads in the case.
