2021-07-02@9:52am #Fairfield CT-- A Ford Focus being operated by an 86 year old man entered the parking lot of 953 Post Road (Mo’s Wine & Spirits). As the operator attempted to park in front of the business, the car accelerated forward causing the car to drive over the parking barrier and strike the front of the building. Though the car sustained disabling impact damage as a result of the collision, the driver was not injured. In addition to emergency personnel responding to the crash, a town building inspector was also called to the scene to inspect the integrity of the building. Governor Ned Lamont announced the launch of Connecticut Summer at the Museum – a new state program created in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that allows Connecticut children to receive free admission at more than 90 museums across Connecticut during the 2021 summer months. Special thanks to all the viewers that contacted me to let me know about this crime scene. On June 30, 2021, at approximately 4:55 p.m. Bridgeport Police responded to 978 Howard Avenue on the report of a party shot. Responding Patrol Officers located an unresponsive 22-year-old Bridgeport man in a bedroom located inside the second-floor apartment of 978 Howard Avenue. Medics arrived and advised police the male was deceased. The Patrol Division has secured a crime scene and contacted the Detective Bureau Homicide Squad to investigate. Detective are working several leads at this hour and the Identification Unit is in the process of collecting evidence. 2021-06-30@4:50pm--#Fairfield CT-- An 80-year-old man was pulled from a swimming pool in the 700 block of Burr Street/Summit Place. Police immediately began CPR. EMS continued and took the man to the hospital. The man's condition is not known at this time.
