BRIDGEPORT MAN CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL ATTEMPT AT MURDER OF A TRUMBULL WOMAN A Bridgeport man was apprehended by Trumbull Police on Tuesday afternoon and charged for Criminal Attempt at Murder during a domestic-related assault between a boyfriend and girlfriend at a Palomino Pass residence in Trumbull. The suspect, RONALD CHAMPLIN, age 53, of Holland Road, Bridgeport, was taken into custody at the scene by responding officers. Police had responded to the residence after receiving a 911 call from the victim screaming that she needed help, and dispatchers could hear a physical altercation taking place in the background.
