5:00pm–#Fairfield Connecticut– Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 241 Old Stratfield Road. The visible flames were seen from a rear bedroom window. Radio reports said that neighbors were setting up ladders to get the people from the second floor out of the building. Everyone made it safely out of the home. Firefighters had to enter through a window on the second floor taking up valuable time. Firefighters had a hard time entering the first floor door. A representative from the building department was requested to the scene as well as animal control for the pets living in the home. There were no reported injuries.
