Tense moments for police

1:01pm--#Bridgeport CT--Some tense moments for Bridgeport Police when they reported to 8o0 block of Lindley Street for a possible break in.  The first responding officer found an open window and saw a shot gun on the kitchen table in the residence.  Additional officers and K-9 were called to the scene.  K-9 found that no one in the residence.  The chihuahua dog inside did not make for a good watch dog.  They should call our sponsors at Covert Security at 203-336-1417 or at  http://www.covsec.com/

Stash was in his drawers!

(Bridgeport, CT – July 2, 2013) – A city man faces charges after police found marijuana in his underwear. On Sunday at 4 a.m., Officer James Ivanko was assigned to monitor closing time at the L & A Social Club at 1506 Stratford Ave. The location has been the site of numerous acts of violence and neighborhood complaints. Ivanko saw the suspect, David Thompson,  28, walk down a common driveway on private property, followed him and told him he was under arrest for disorderly conduct. After his arrest, hidden in Thompson’s underwear, police also found six plastic bags containing marijuana. They also found an unopened bottle of Hennessy cognac in his pocket. Woman Allegedly Tries to Run Down Group of Youths

(Bridgeport, CT – July 2, 2013) – A Park Avenue woman was arrested after she twice allegedly tried to run down a group of youths with whom she had argued. Officer Daniel Paz responded to the area of Pequonnock and Vine streets at 12:10 a.m. Monday on a report of female in a sport utility vehicle attempting to run over a male. Paz spoke to a teen who stated that a woman had attempted to run him and his friends down and that they scattered to avoid being hit. Man Attempts to Steal Power Tool Using Stolen Car

(Bridgeport, CT – July 2, 2013) – John Fisher, 24, also had a suspended driver’s license. Officers Sarah Nestlen, Jose Luna and Michael Taylor were called to the Home Depot Sunday on a reported shoplifting. A loss prevention associate stated that he observed Fisher, of Derby, load a Dewalt Hammerdrill into a shopping cart and push it towards the exit. He then lifted it out of the carriage and attempted to walk out the store. The employee detained him and, after a scuffle, took him to the ground and handcuffed him. Fisher was charged with sixth-degree larceny for the shoplifting. Later, it was determined that he had driven a stolen Hyundai to the store. He faces additional charges of second-degree…
