(Bridgeport, CT – Aug 13, 2013) – Police arrested a Pembroke Street man after he fled police.

Officers Fabio Pereira and Michael Stanitis conducted a field interview Monday afternoon with several people loitering in the 1200 block of Stratford Avenue. One of the suspects provided a false name and Pereira was running the name on the cruiser laptop when the man, later identified as Jahkeim Boone, 21, ran off on foot.

Pereira pursued him in the cruiser and then on foot through several back yards before apprehending him, following a struggle, behind 389 Carroll St.

He was arrested and later found with crack cocaine hidden in the brim of his hat.

Bond was set at $10,000 on charges of possession of narcotics, two counts of interfering with police and four counts of criminal trespass. He also was wanted on a warrant for violation of probation.
