(Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 26, 2013) – Detectives have made a second arrest in a Sept. 10 incident in which five people were shot, one fatally.

David Anderson, 20, of Bridgeport, was charged with conspiracy to commit murder for his role in the city’s last homicide. His bond was set at $1 million.

The investigation determined that on the afternoon of the shooting, Anderson drove two people to area of Reservoir Avenue. He waited in the car and, after the shooting, drove the suspects back to the city’s East Side.

Detective Ada Curet secured an arrest warrant Wednesday evening, and Anderson was taken into custody.  He acknowledged his role in the incident.

Last week, detectives arrested Roderick “Riki” Rogers, whose last known address was 77 Manila Place, on charges of murder, four counts of attempted murder, four counts of first-degree assault and weapons offenses.

The Reservoir Avenue shooting claimed the life of Christopher Pettway, 26, of Bridgeport.  Four other males, who range in age from 15 to 19, were wounded but are expected to recover.

Police say the motive remains under investigation but appears to stem from a previous dispute involving Rogers. Rogers is known to frequent Stratford Avenue and is known to police.

“Detectives have worked tirelessly on this case, and have done an outstanding job,” said Capt. James Viadero. “This remains an active investigation.”
