On March 5, 2016, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, members of the Tactical Narcotics Team (Officer Rosado/ Officer Garcia) obtained a search and seizure for 109 George Street, Bridgeport. This investigation was predicated on information that the subject of this investigation, identified as Darius Gamble was trafficking cocaine, heroin and marijuana from the residence. Further investigation suggested Gamble possessed several firearms. Based on the nature of the investigation, coupled with the information relative to firearms being present, ESU was summoned to execute the warrant. During a pre-raid surveillance, Gamble’s girlfriend, Vivian Rodriguez was detained outside the residence, at which time ESU moved in to execute the warrant. After the residence was secured, Darius Gamble arrived home, at which time he to was taken into custody. Gamble was travelling with his infant child, who was taken inside the residence pending the arrival of the medics, whom later transported her to Bridgeport Hospital, pending the arrival of DCF.  A search of the residence commenced by TNT (LT Johnson, Officer Rosado, Officer Donowa, Officer Garcia), and Task Force Officers Reilly, Andrews, Amato, and Martinez, located $42,614.00 in US Currency, approximately 133 grams of Crack-Cocaine, approximately 410 grams of Marijuana, assorted anabolic steroids, prescription medications, scales, and assorted ammunition. Also seized was a Porsche SUV and BMW sedan, along with two flat screen televisions.

Darius Gamble and Vivian Rodriguez were both charged with Possession of Narcotics WITS, Possession of Narcotics WITS within 1500′ of a School, Possession of Marijuana WITS, Failure to keep Narcotics in Original Containers, Possession of a Controlled Substance WITS, Operating a Drug Factory and Risk of Injury to a Minor. Gamble and Rodriguez were both held in lieu of $100,000 pending their arraignment in court.  Police also seized two Bank accounts $18,000 and $20,000. The investigation continues.
