#Norwalk, CT. (October 6, 2016): State Police detectives from Western District Major Crime are investigating the untimely death of an infant in Norwalk. On October 5, 2016 during the evening hours the Norwalk Police Department responded to 9 Hunters Lane in Norwalk for an unresponsive 4 month old infant. The residence was reported to be a daycare facility. The 4 month old infant was transported to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation where they were later pronounced deceased.

On October 6, 2016 at approximately 10:45 a.m., at the request of the State’s Attorneys Office, Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The Office of the Chief  Medical Examiner will conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the cause and manner of death. The incident remains under investigation.
