5:55pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Police have two suspects in custody after a short pursuit in the Hollow.  Police said they were investigating the two men for narcotics when the two men in the silver Audi sped off.  Police said witnesses confirmed radio reports that there were shots fired at police on Madison Avenue near the intersection of Alice Street.  The pursuit continued down Housatonic Avenue, downCongress Street past the police station and double back to the Hollow.  The car crashed at the intersection of Chestnut and James Street.  The car then tried to run down a police officer before they got the two men in custody after a short foot pursuit.  It was first reported that an officer was injured but was not the case.  One of the suspects was injured as a result of the crash and was transferred to St. Vincent’s Hospital by EMS.  Firefighters were just dispatched to Grand and Hurd Street where a handgun was found on top of a tractor trailer.
