Governor Partially Activates Emergency Operations Center

#HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P. today announced that he will partially activate the state’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 to monitor storm conditions across the state and prepare for winter weather that is forecast to have an impact on morning and potentially afternoon travel. Bridgeport News: Mayor Ganim Declares Snow Emergency

Bridgeport, CT – In anticipation of the pending winter storm due to impact Bridgeport, Mayor Joe Ganim is declaring a snow emergency for the city to take effect at 6:00 p.m., today, March 12, 2018.   During the snow emergency, residents must move their cars off posted snow emergency streets. Alternate side of the street parking rules are in effect as of 6:00 p.m. today for all other streets throughout the city in order to allow snow plow drivers’ clear passage. March 13 is an ODD number day; therefore, residents should park on the side of the street with addresses that are ODD numbers beginningtonight.  Snow emergency streets are marked with white signs with red lettering. Westport News: Suspicious Person

Westport, CT-- On March 6, 2018 at approximately 3:15pm, a juvenile female was approached by a suspicious male and female on Marion Road. The juvenile reported she just got off the bus from Coleytown Middle School, when an older black 4 door vehicle with a loud muffler drove towards her. The operator asked the juvenile if she needed a ride. The juvenile replied no and continued walking to a house nearby where she called her parents.
