#Westport CT–On 08/27/2018, the victim reported he was being harassed by John Colavito over a business dispute involving an annuity. Colavito and the victim had a meeting in July regarding the issue and since then, the victim reported to have received multiple emails and text messages from him. Colavito was found to have emailed the victim 54 times between 7/18/18 and 8/21/2018; 21 of which were sent in one day. Some of the emails were found to be threatening in nature. The investigating officer submitted an arrest warrant application for Colavito, which was later approved. On 09/20/2018, Colavito turned himself in at police headquarters on the active arrest warrant. He was charged with 53a-62 Threatening and 53a-183 Harassment 2 nd : Non- Threatening. Colavito was released after posting $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on 10/02/2018.
