7:26pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man was stabbed in the back of the head at 44 Worth Street. The suspect supposedly lived on the third floor but radio reports said that apartment is vacant and no one was in the apartment. Earlier a man said he was stabbed in the 800 block of Maplewood Avenue during a robbery attempt.
6:38pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A stabbing victim arrived at St. Vincent's Hospital, he was stabbed in the back. He told police it happened in the 800 block of Maplewood Avenue. He told police that someone attempted to rob him, a male in a black hoodie is the only description. That should narrow it down. 5:44pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called for a fire at 2209 Main Street for a call of a fire. They located a short in the wall in one of the apartments. Mark Burnell, Economic Developer for the town of Fairfield said they are trying to make this an ongoing event not just for the holiday season. Police UPDATE: On November 23, 2018 at approximately 5:49 pm, Bridgeport Patrol Officers responded to the scene of an accident on Washington Avenue, just west of its intersection with James Street. A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Washington Avenue. The operator fled the scene in a black four door vehicle traveling westbound on Washington Avenue. The pedestrian, identified as Raymond F. Benson D.O.B. 10/24/1975, was transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he’s listed in serious but stable condition. The Bridgeport Police Accident Reconstruction Team has responded to assist the Patrol Division and conduct further investigation.
