STRATFORD- A ceremony will be held for the dedication of Gunther’s Long Beach West at 10:00am on Monday, April 1, 2019.

 

The section of Long Beach was named after the late State Senator George “Doc” Gunther, a noted conservationist who served as State Senator from 1966- 2006.  The new name was assigned to the area by action of the Town Council in June of 2018.

 

Gunther’s family will be on hand for the ceremony and dedication and will receive a presentation from Mayor Laura R. Hoydick on behalf of the Town of Stratford in appreciation for the many years of dedicated service he gave.
