UPDATE: Much To Do About Nothing– This was originally dispatched as a $30,000 embezzlement.  Amy Thibault, Stop and Shop Manager of External Communications and Community Relations said the “$33,000 embezzlement did not happen”.  According to a preliminary police report police were called for a $33.00 larceny.  An employee took a package of condoms and chips up to the employee lounge.  Amy Thibault said it was an outside employee.  Bridgeport Detectives said the case was unfounded.

 

2019-08-15 @ 12:12pm–#Bridgeport CT– Police were dispatched to Stop and Shop at 2145 Fairfield Avenue in the loss prevention office for an employee who allegedly embezzled $30,000.
