Bridgeport News: Man Shot

2019-08-04 @ 8:12pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a number of phone calls for a shoot out between two individuals on East Main Street between Berkley Place and Kingsbury Road.  Police located shell casings and blood and then received a report of a man shot at Bridgeport Hospital.  His condition is not known at this time.

Trumbull Police Conducted A Sweep To Serve OIutstanding Arrest Warrants

#Trumbull CT--During the early morning hours of Wednesday July 31, and Thursday, August 1, Trumbull Police detectives conducted a sweep to serve outstanding arrest warrants on local criminals. Detectives coordinated efforts with other local police agencies to track down individuals who have not been held accountable for criminal incidents that they had been involved in. Many of the arrests include the following:   Carlene C. Booker, age 39, was located at her Bridgeport residence where she was arrested. Booker was charged with Robbery in the second degree, and Larceny in the fourth for a shoplifting incident where Booker claimed to have a knife when confronted by store security. Westport News: Sewage Leak Update

#Fairfield Beaches are closed. #Westport CT-- First Selectman Jim Marpe and Public Works Director Peter Ratkiewich announced as of 8:30 PM Saturday night, the sewage leak in the Saugatuck River was completely stopped and temporary pumps are in place to utilize the newly installed pipe. The temporary set up will be in place until the permanent pumps are installed next month. The Town has been in close communication with the Connecticut DEEP and the Weston- Westport Health District. Water quality testing will be performed on Monday in effort to re-open the beaches.
