Bridgeport News: Overnight Fire

BRIDGEPORT, CT –At 0435hrs the Bridgeport ECC received several 911 calls reporting smoke coming from the 2nd floor of a structure located at 208 Brooks Street. Bridgeport Fire, Policeand AMR all dispatched and initial Incident Command reports from BFD advised heavy flamescoming from the “A” side of the structure with exposures on the “B” and “D” side. At 0448hrsthe BFD Incident Command declared a second alarm for the working fire and requested moreBFD units. BFD provided an exterior attack initially to knock the fire down, companies beganopening structure to extinguishing remaining hot spots. I'd say my original report was pretty accurate: Connecticut State Police report: On November 25th, 2021 at approximately 1429 hrs, Troop G personnel responded to a pedestrianwalking on Route 15 North between exits 40-41. Upon arrival, Troopers observed a white male crouchedbehind the concrete barrier in the right shoulder. While Troopers began making contact with the male, themale suddenly jumped over the barrier and began running across the northbound travel lanes into traffic.Troopers were able to stop the male in the left lane, where a physical altercation ensued.
