A burnt-out coffee pot in a utility closet on the 4th floor at Seton Hall triggered a fire alarm at Sacred Heart University, located at 5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield. Firefighters responded and determined the alarm was caused by the overheated coffee pot.

False alarms at the university are often triggered by items such as curling irons or burnt popcorn.
