WESTPORT, CT – Westport Police arrested a 32-year-old New York man in connection with a March shoplifting investigation at Ulta Beauty on Post Road East that involved more than $3,100 in stolen merchandise.
Police said the investigation began after staff at Ulta Beauty, 1365 Post Road East, reported a theft that occurred on March 12, 2026. Employees told police a man and woman entered the store with a young juvenile and an infant in a stroller.
According to police, the woman was seen taking merchandise from shelves and concealing it in the stroller, while the man allegedly placed items in his pockets. The pair also processed a merchandise return, during which the woman provided her membership or loyalty card. Police said no merchandise was paid for, and the total loss was estimated at $3,157.
On March 24, officers responded to a suspicious person and vehicle complaint at the same store. Police identified two individuals connected to that incident, including Charles Faulk, and said both admitted involvement in a previous theft from the store believed to be the March incident.
Arrest warrants were later obtained.
Police learned Faulk was incarcerated at the Putnam County Correctional Facility in New York. On July 29, Westport detectives traveled to the facility and took custody of Faulk on the outstanding warrant.
Charles Faulk, 32, of Yonkers, New York, was charged with Risk of Injury to a Child, Larceny in the Third Degree, and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Third Degree.
His bond was set at $60,000. Police said Faulk was unable to post bond and was transported to Stamford Superior Court for arraignment on July 30.
