On July 21, 2025, at approximately 3:19 AM, the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a call from a citizen. The citizen reported finding an unresponsive female lying on the ground at the intersection of Noble Avenue and Berkshire Avenue. Emergency Medical Response Units were dispatched to the location.

American Medical Response, Bridgeport Fire Engine 10, and Bridgeport Police Officers arrived on scene, located the unresponsive female, and rendered medical aide. She was then transported to Bridgeport Hospital. Police Officers on scene observed large amounts of debris near Noble Avenue and Putnam Street that appeared to be caused by a motor vehicle collision. The Bridgeport Crash Reconstruction Team was requested and responded to the location.

A preliminary investigation was completed, and it was determined that a white four-door sedan was traveling south on Noble Avenue and struck the female pedestrian pushing a shopping cart near Noble Avenue and Putnam Street. The white sedan continued traveling with the pedestrian to the intersection of Noble Avenue and Berkshire Avenue, then fled in an unknown direction leaving the unresponsive female pedestrian on the ground in the northbound lane. The female pedestrian was identified as 49-year-old Zandrea Harris of Bridgeport, and she was listed in critical condition. The investigation was assigned to Officer N. Fowler.

On July 26, 2025, Zandrea Harris succumbed to her injuries at 11:10 AM. Officer N. Fowler investigated the collision and subsequent evading. As a result of the investigation, Officer Fowler obtained arrest warrants on September 8, 2026, for 20-year-old Jahmeir Peter Tillery of Bridgeport who was operating the sedan on July 21, 2025, and the 21-year-old passenger Ti Aujah Amir Norfleet, of Bridgeport.

Jahmeir Peter Tillery was arrested on September 10, 2026, and charged with:

Evading Responsibility with Death
Negligent Homicide with a Motor Vehicle
Conspiracy To Commit / Tampering with Physical Evidence

His bond was set at $750,000.

Ti Aujah Amir Norfleet was arrested on September 11, 2026, and charged with:

Conspiracy To Commit / Tampering with Physical Evidence
Tampering with Physical Evidence

Her bond was set at $150,000.
