UPDATE: The dog that was shot was the neighbor’s not the victim’s .  I’m told the dog is in surgery and should survive if there are no complications.

Police Update:  At approximately 1am this morning, (5/29/17) Officers received several calls of shot fired in area of 91 Federal St. Officers found a male victim, and a dog who had been shot. Medics were called and the male victim was taken to hospital. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.  During this incident (prior to BPD arrival), the victim’s girlfriend was forced into victim’s vehicle by the responsible parties.

The female victim was driven to Wallingford where she was let out of the vehicle. This female then called in to 911. Wallingford officers arrived on scene. BPD officers responded to Wallingford to meet w/their officers and the female victim. Appears there are multiple suspects. This is an active investigation.

1:11am–#Bridgeport CT– A man shot in the arm on Federal Street. Witnesses told me that the suspect shot the victim’s dog then shot he shot the victim. He fled in a dark colored car.  The victim’s girlfriend was forced into the car at gunpoint.
