First responders were called to Stop & Shop at 200 East Main Street in Stratford for a report of two unresponsive people. Upon arrival, responders located one allegedly intoxicated male inside the store and another male outside who was reported to be suicidal. Both individuals were attended to by emergency personnel. No further details have been released.
A burnt-out coffee pot in a utility closet on the 4th floor at Seton Hall triggered a fire alarm at Sacred Heart University, located at 5151 Park Avenue in Fairfield. Firefighters responded and determined the alarm was caused by the overheated coffee pot. False alarms at the university are often triggered by items such as curling irons or burnt popcorn.
Norwalk firefighters responded to an apartment building after high carbon monoxide levels were detected. Crews located a possible furnace issue believed to be the source of the carbon monoxide. Firefighters are ventilating the building to clear the gas, and the property owner is on scene. No additional information about any injuries has been released.
