Police UPDATE: The department can confirm that on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at approximately 3:20 PM that Trumbull Police and EMS responded to 155 White Plains Road for a tree cut accident that resulted in the death of a sixty-six-year-old male. Trumbull Police and EMS arrived at the scene minutes after receiving the initial 911 call, but the male had succumbed to his injuries suffered by a large tree branch.Emergency responders were called after a man was fatally injured in a tree-related accident on White Plains Road in Trumbull. Details about how the incident occurred and the identity of the victim have not yet been released. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident

On March 2, 2026, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Fairfield Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at News Express, located at 200 Tunxis Hill Road in Fairfield. The store was open at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported.
